Cannot we consider that homosexual relationship is a kind of friendship ? Well a real friendship in which you add sexual relationship...
I mean, in most cases, there's no children, no family from this relationship... (it's a real question)

Depends on the person probably.
Each person will have a different view of "what is" a boyfriend. Even if the society has its definition.

Actually, I don't know what is mine.

I also have a very good friend, maybe more, also with benefits, but both consider ourselves like "single men". I must say it's quite comfortable. :biggrin:
At 22 it's cool, but it won't last years and years, I think.

My husband and I, if you want a good example of what happens when best friendom transcends just that and it becomes something more serious. We were "friends", from what I can tell best friends, since 1973. It's quite clear to me now how we were obviously experiencing a graduation of more serious feelings for one another but it was the sort of thing that if it was there he absolutely would never have acknowledged it let alone act on it. But it was definitely there, plain as day when I look back on it now. We stopped talking from 1981 until we met up with each other in 2002 and by then we were both in very different lives and circumstances so the opportunity for our relationship to take a different course was just there and we did act on it, thankfully. I think many people go through this but will not because they are so hung up on labels and categories. Sometimes the feelings are there first and then the physical attraction develops when one or both feel it should not and it's sad, we missed out on a lot in all that time because we were stubborn.
