I can relate.. as I'd be one of those shy/closeted/zero-experience guys

Pretty much the other guy would have to make any first move
but he also couldn't be too pushy or want to jump into anything too fast...that'd likely scare me away
same would go for if he was very much 'out' in public - just scare me away

Well..

Remember you did meet him in Grindr and there's a lot of really
pretty sketchy people on there.

I'm not saying that he's a fraud or a bad person. But I'm just saying
that there are a lot of people who get-off from the fact that someone
finds them desirable and it's satisfying enough for them to just know
or to be told that. And well it's Grindr, it's not exactly eHarmony.

I hope that, that isn't the case with you. It's really difficult to
coax someone into coming out. It's one of those things that it's
definitely not up to you, but the other person.

But my advice is.. Don't get too emotionally attached to the first
guy that you click with. It's a big gay sea out there, I'm sure you'll
find one that is out who shares similar interests as you :]
