On the subject of getting older
#1
Three old gentlemen well into their 90s, were sat in their arm chairs around an open fire, when the subject turned to getting older. The first one said “as you both know I was always a great lover of the arts. I’ve travelled all around the world and there’s not a gallery I haven’t seen. Then just last week I paid a visit to the Tate. I looked around the paintings but now that the eye sight’s fading it’s just the same any-more”.

After a few nods and murmurs of agreement, the second one said

“I was always very fond of classical music. I don’t believe there’s a worthwhile orchestra in the world I haven’t heard. Just the other day I went to see the London Philharmonic. I sat there and listened but now that the hearing’s fading it’s just not the same any-more.

Again there were nods and murmurs of agreement. Then the third one spoke.

“ As you both know, I’ve always been one for the ladies. In fact only last year I married a fine 23 year old filly. Just last night I said to her ‘how about you and me going upstairs and having wild abandoned sex?”. She said ‘don’t be silly dear, we just did’. Now that the memory’s fading it’s just not the same any-more.
