Gone for a while

Been gone for a while, and I'm seeing many new people.... so thought I should reintroduce myself since most people will not know who I am or have forgotten about me.

Lots have happened since I've last been here. My boyfriend bought a house. I graduated. Didn't get into my internship and lost my passion for dietetics. Now I'm trying to get a position with DHS to help abused children... but i'm job hunting none the less. Came out to my mom and dad.... on 5/9/08 on my graduation day by bringing the boyfriend of 3.5 years with me. Lots of tears from my mom, but she just wants me to be happy. Dad hasn't really said much, told my mom that if boyfriend ever yells at me or hits me he will kill him (so it's safe to assume he will still be there for me). Planning on moving in with boyfriend in 3 months once I've found/got my job and saved a little money.

Oh and I still like to paint, read, and play World of Warcraft.

Oh and if a moderator could change my name, I would rather it be Catfish.... or simply Cat. Dont think my screen name is right since I could care less about becoming a dietitian. Please and Thank you.

Aw it's cool that you came out and that your parents are generally OK with it, that's always good. And when your dad says something like that it generally means he has accepted it... it's when he says he wants to do that to you, that you gotta worry

Good changes in your life i see. Congrats for graduating! You might gain back your passion for what you studied but even if you dont i am sure you will find a good use of your degree. Good luck with your job hunting.
Also well done for coming out to your parents they taken it well. Oh and your father's comment... arent they great hehe Loved it.

Btw, moderators cannot change nicknames (as far as i know at least). Only the admin can do it.

Thanks so much guys! I just needed time to myself to figure things out, and now things have come together and I feel GREAT!

I just got back from my 1st interview for today, I have one more, and then a phone interview tomorrow morning. I'm really hoping I get a call back from this interview. it's an entry level marketing job (something I LOVE) and the pay is wondiferous (about 2x more than what I'm making at my current job).

So if you can, cross your fingers for me. I will find out if i get to go to round 2 this evening at 5pm. I think I will! I made a great 1st impression.
