Cut and paste
#1
I sent an e-mail to an old friend of mine, more or less my age, yesterday. It was short but I suggested that she cut and paste a link on to her browser. The reply I got was:

"I have no idea how to cut and paste nor do I know what a browser is...."

WTF? Why does she have a computer? It's hard to believe that anyone in this day and age doesn't have a very basic notion of how to use a computer. Grrrrrrr!

I sent her an e-mail with instructions. She'll probably get back to me and say that she doesn't know what a mouse is!

This reminds me of my mom. She also when she messes up a word deletes the whole word instead of going back and fixing the one letter and she types with one finger. hahaha

I have ordered a copy of "Laptops for Dummies" for her. I don't suppose that she'll read it but I have tried.

As she lives in the UK and I in Spain, she'll have to have a helluva long arm!

Difficult to believe indeed... Here's George Takei, who at 75 thinks all over 50s are using computers with great savvy.
see the second video if the first one's not about the over 50s.

My parents and grandparents are like that.
They find having to be told these things embarrassing and patronising.
