10 Curious Questions
#1
This is not a poll. I just wonder if you know something about this.
Oh, and sorry for my English.

Is it true that:
1. Gays are more aware of their looking.
2. Straight guys are less appreciative on their body, they tend to more focus on female body, while gays enjoy touch on parts of their body instead just humping and pumping.
3. Gays are more showy than straight guys. They will reveal their ripped abs and muscles in most occasions.
4. Heterosexual women and guys mostly share similar interest in dating a guy. One of them will be a victim if the guy is actually gay/straight.
5. Most gays only look for sex. On the contrary, straight guy/girl will always look for a way to have a serious relationship to eventually get married.
6. Gays tend to look feminine. No matter how they get dressed, or how they conceal their identity, you will always know they are gay.
7. Gays are more interested in arts than sports (except the gym). They love watching sports, but most of the time, they watch those hot sporty boys.
8. Most gays fall in love with straight guys so much that they cannot get over them.
9. Most men going to the gym are gay, or at least bisexual.
10. Do you believe in love at the first sight between two gay men?

the answer to all of these questions is that for some people it's true , for some it isn't.

So, which are you? Do you think it's true? Just opinion.

I for one break this chain of stereotypes readily enough.

These things are a list of sterotypes which may apply in general to a lot of gay men, but by no means define what being gay is about.

I for one fail to match up in many areas - for instance I like to play sports, and I don't use hair care product - in fact it took 12 years for my last partner to break me of the terrible habit of using bar soap on my hair and my face.

As for effeminate - I am often accused of being straight because I act very much like a dude. My voice is too deep to pull off 'sister, gurl, fabulous' and all of the other 'gay slang'.

Some of these I don't know - never observed straight people having sex - definitely haven't had sex with every man on earth (straight and gay) to figure out if gays are more about touching themselves or their partner.

Thanks for the response. And fr this one. I got no clue either. It's just some straight porn I watch, though I don't know how they do in real sex.

"This is not a poll. I just wonder if you know something about this.
Oh, and sorry for my English.

1. Gays are more aware of their looking.
I would expect there is no difference between hetero men and homo men being aware of how they look. Ive known more "straight" guys who are more obsessed with their looks than any gay guy.

2. Straight guys are less appreciative on their body, they tend to more focus on female body, while gays enjoy touch on parts of their body instead just humping and pumping.
Again, Ive known more hetero guys who are obsessed with their bodies and workout, pump iron, and HAVE to be "hard" and "defined", more than any gays Ive met.

3. Gays are more showy than straight guys. They will reveal their ripped abs and muscles in most occasions.
Again, Ive seen more hetero guys who wear "slutty" clothes to show off their asses, chests, and stomachs, more than I have seen homo men do this.

4. Heterosexual women and guys mostly share similar interest in dating a guy. One of them will be a victim if the guy is actually gay/straight.
Sorry, I have no idea what you mean by that.

5. Most gays only look for sex. On the contrary, straight guy/girl will always look for a way to have a serious relationship to eventually get married.
This is a lie. It is a "male thing" to just look for sex regardless of hetero or homo. There are a lot of women who do this too, but its more of a male pattern than a female pattern. Although NOT ALL males are this way. Most males are this way because its the double standard crap and bullshit they have been taught while growing up.

6. Gays tend to look feminine. No matter how they get dressed, or how they conceal their identity, you will always know they are gay.
This is a BIG FAT LIE. All of the homo men I have known in my life or have had for friends are not feminine, nor can you "tell" if they are homo or not.

7. Gays are more interested in arts than sports (except the gym). They love watching sports, but most of the time, they watch those hot sporty boys.
[COLOR="Teal"]Another LIE. There are "gay" sports bars and restaurants, and I assume they wouldnt be making money if there werent a LOT of homo men who love sports.

8. Most gays fall in love with straight guys so much that they cannot get over them.
Lies, lies, lies.

9. Most men going to the gym are gay, or at least bisexual.
Where the hell are you getting this bullshit from?????

10. Do you believe in love at the first sight between two gay men?
I dont believe in "love at first sight" between anybody. Its a fantasy ideal created by people who want to find ANY reason to not be lonely anymore."

Thanks MisterTinkles. Love those responses of yours. Smile

Some of those questions are coming from many homophobic in my neighborhood. Often girls said those things when they think the men they date are not 'man' enough. And guys even more so, like saying, "What, you're not interested in football? You're gay!" Argh, I wanna slap them in the face.

There really isn't much of a difference between gay and straight sex beyond the obvious. Sex is sex.

Source: personal experience.

I think there is a large issue with people trying to draw lines between homosexuality and heterosexuality. Ideas like this are what keep everyone so divided. If we start viewing people as equals more instead of as their stereotypes, there won't be so much struggle of misunderstanding between the groups.

Well those people in your neighborhood are idiots to think such ignorant things.

Also.....

If people are going to be bigoted and prejudiced, they are going to find as many ways to be that way as they can.
They are too ignorant to step out into the world and understand there are other people outside their own little confined space on this planet.

To me all those 'facts' came across as something from the under-educated and intolerant mind of a person that is desperately trying to put people in to categories, the obvious fault there is that no one of us can fit neatly into any or all of those categories.

The only thing they represent is stereotypes of an uneducated person.
