He apologized a while back, however, I think he still may be, I mean, most of the Island people are, but I enjoy the music and not the artist's opinions/lifestyle. It's a cultural thing, what I grew up listening to and watching on T.V so...

However, the only person I would warn away from, would be Buju Banton...now he's a one I would not even listen to, especially for the fact nearly all his music ironically, consists of "Batty Bwoys" or "Chi-Chi Mon" and the death of them.

I would post a song, but they're too horrible to even display.

Most of these Singers though don't Bash Gays as much as they used to, but I suppose it can be seen as all the same.

The more prevalent hatred lies with the older generation however, such as Beenie Mon, even though he's actually not that bad and only has like 2-3 songs talking about gays, but the newer artists tend to focus less on Gays and more on music

Well I think I'm ruining the good vybes of the original meaning you set :p

But it stems from the Africans uprooted from Africa and brought to our various Islands as slaves and the infusion of European beliefs, which is ironically the reason our islands are so Homophobic.

Europe is seen as Gay Central, and yet back in the day, they were the ones who taught the Africans their ways and one of these was discrimination against Homosexuality and what not.

Bermuda has the most amount of Churches per capita in the world and Jamaica & Trinibago(Trinidad & Tobago) are secluded from America and are kinda stuck in the past and what they knew, hence why their views are so dated.

And we've moved forward slightly, due to getting trickles of America's progress and what not.

Not to say this to justify their actions, I just had to learn that it's our upbringing and culture.

Not to mention as Bermudians, we are very very conservative in the fact that open displays of anything is looked down upon, although this is mostly by the older generation, mine and newer ones are more loose and liberal, even to tolerate gays somewhat.

Kay, History lesson over Coffee

Though I agree, all this silly hatred needs to go somewhere and kindly tek wif itself -.-
