No body was asserting whether someone's opinion was better than another's.
Merely that his reasons/methods are not particularly needed amongst a community that has for the majority, lived it.

He knows he's blind and he knows he can't see the corner. He doesn't need to be told, as he will have most likely learned to use a walking stick and has lived long enough as a blind person to know the dangers and or obstacles that he could face, if he is outside for you to tell him to watch out.
Which is in of itself also nonsensical as he can't watch anything.
Slightly different, however similar.
And while his help and opinions are appreciated, they are not always or even at all really necessary.
Especially if wasn't asked. It's actually kind of rude to walk up to someone and just talk.
He can state his opinions and what not, just, I don't think this was really all that necessary and actually wasn't an opinion per se, but more or less him ministering a message.
