Just thought I'd share this, cuz I'm still chuckling.
I was sitting with my ex (wife) in a coffee shop recently. We still share kids and some business, so it happens. At another table nearby, with her back to us, is a woman who has been interested in me since the divorce.
At some point my wife wrinkles her nose and asks, "You're not wearing patchouli are you? Who wears patchouli anymore?" I pointed to the other woman and whispered, "I bet it's Steph." Before long, Steph got up to leave, noticed us, and smiled at me as she left.
My ex said, "You know, I heard Steph was asking around about you." I just smiled smugly, looked her in the eyes and said, "How do you think I know she wears patchouli?" She changed the subject.
