Legally it's murder but I would be leniant if I was handing down the sentance. You can't expect people to fight and to only kill the enemy when the rule book allows especially with an enemy as evil as the Taliban.

There should be special rules for the military. Obviously they're gonna kill people, and 99% of the time it will be in circumstances where a "normal citizen" would've been punished for it.

Yes, it was murder, but it may have been a justified one, or at least it's a special case that should be dealt with accordingly.

Murder or man slaughter or anything else, if you kill a person, it's on your hands. I think this is a murder, being under the law or not doesn't mean that you can kill off someone. Unless, if that person wishes it because he's got a fatal wound and is slowly and painfully dying, or assisting a suicide. It's still killing, but it's sort of mercy in a way?(I don;t want to go into moral rights and stuffs, it's too confusing and jumbled up) Either that person is gonna have to live with that burden for the rest of his life.
