Sad fact that horses are being neglected and princess Anne thinks the only way to combat that is by considering the horse as meat, rather than stricter regulations and harsher sentences.
By the way Anne, the british public were not JUST outraged at the horse meat scandal because it was mis-labeled but because it was horse.
And just cause the french eat something, whats your, point. Should we start eating snails too.
Ps - i went to france once. Ive had food poisoning once. IN FRANCE.

I get what she means, that if they were raised for consumption we might treat them better, but that just doesn't prove true if currently farmed animals living conditions are anything to go by.
Seems like naivety said in frustration more than anything.
Had to laugh though when a guy who raises horses that they had on the news said something to the effect of:
"Well she's a cannibal basically.
Horses are the closest animal to humans; it's like eating your own."

I've heard the same argument over and over again and not just on the subject of horses: we should kill and eat animals in order to protect them. Sounds absurd to me.
