Before I came out to anyone. I was really really depressed a lot and I often hated myself because I was raised to believe that it was a sin. But once I accpeted who I was. I became much happier.

I have never felt ashamed of being gay, though I am terrified of losing my family over it. One side is driven by religion, the other side is “redneck” (and I say that lovingly). Even have an Arab Muslim (though not sure if “practicing” in the family. I do plan on coming out though, just not sure when. I can only suffocate in this darkness for so long. On the other hand it has really motivated by creative/artistic skills.

Besides, it is high time I got laid... :p

One doesn't simply say they are gay, there are tests, petitions and then one has to get a Stamp of Approval from the Authority before they can use that label.

Its not like the old days when you had sex with a person of the same gender and that decided that. Today we have an organization which keeps the wanna be riff-raff out.
