princealbertofb Wrote:Hurtful to whom, Jim? To Heinz shareholders?

I left out a word or two......It should have read....The pulling of this ad was hurtful (to the gay community)

And so on, regarding Teresa Heinz Kerry and her 2004 presidential candidate, John

Oh I so just received a standardised response from heinz... this was basically their press release in email form... I'd already commented on some of their points about the reasons behind it being pulled!! [Image: mad.gif]

Dear Mr *WLM*

Thank you for your recent email regarding the Heinz UK commercial for Deli Mayo. Consumer feedback is very important to us and we appreciate the opportunity to respond.

Heinz pulled the ad in the UK because our consumer research showed that the ad failed in its attempt to be humorous and offended people on all sides.
Heinz apologises for its misplaced attempt at humour and we accept that this ad was not in accordance with our long-standing corporate policy of respecting everyone's rights and values.

Again, our sincere apology to anyone who felt offended. We appreciate you taking time to contact us to express your opinion and allowing us to address this issue.

When Heinz pulled the ad in the UK, the consumers in the UK should have pulled the plug on Heinz. I would imagine that Englishmen eat enough junk food without a Pittsburgh Pennsylvania headquartered Heinz dumping more over there.
I was not aware earlier that the ad did not air in the United States.

I am not surprised. You guys in Europe sent all of your religious nuts packing off to America beginning in the early 17th century. Now, take a look at the finished product:eek:

We have more religious fruitcakes over here than we can count. It would have been better if the Mayflower had sunk in the Atlantic during it's vogage to Massachusetts.

I have just been reading a wonderful book, written by a gay man, that details how the muslims are taking over Europe from within.

watch your backs!

Uh-oh, WouldLikes.... that, to me, is almost more insulting than the withdrawal of the ad. That's a laugh, this corporate e-mail is ridiculous in the extreme. If you read between the lines they are apologising about having offended us (they have not) and where's the respect of our rights and values here???? I mean by values, they mean that gays are not entitled to live happily as a family, eh? Stupid cows!!!

Dear Prince Albert:

We're flying high here, from the Pit Cock to the CockpitTalker

I hope Gordon Brown has returned safely from Japan. To my dismay, George Bush probably has already returned safely to the White House.

The next few months will be interesting. There is a feeling over here that Bush might bomb the living hell out of Iran before he departs the presidency in January.

What are you hearing over there?
