Alan Turing receives a Royal Pardon posthumously
#1
http://www.theguardian.com/science/2013/...yal-pardon

How very magnanimous! He receives a pardon for a "crime"• that he never committed. He helped shortened the war by at least two years and probably saved hundreds of thousands of lives and all he gets is a pardon. The man deservers a Knighthood at least

I disagree...

they need to be kept in the public eye, to show how injust it was to codemn the gay guy that outperformed German intelligence merely cause he was gay...

it's best way to not let it happen again..

and seriously?....doesn't he get a memorial or something?

A Pardon simply sets aside the punishment for an offence, it doesn't quash the original conviction.

I think Turin's pardon has been granted simply as a people pleaser, to Alan Turin it's about as much use as a bicycle to a fish!

That's exactly what I think too.
