How very magnanimous! He receives a pardon for a "crime"• that he never committed. He helped shortened the war by at least two years and probably saved hundreds of thousands of lives and all he gets is a pardon. The man deservers a Knighthood at least

Obviously is late, but I was a little happy to read the news.
So... Better than nothing, which is not good, but maybe 'Evolution' is working... For the future.

A Pardon simply sets aside the punishment for an offence, it doesn't quash the original conviction.
I think Turin's pardon has been granted simply as a people pleaser, to Alan Turin it's about as much use as a bicycle to a fish!
