Hello Young Joseph,

May I firstly say I am relatively new to this forum and the guys here are indeed friendly and welcoming.
What is it you are studying at college?

I think you have done the right thing by coming on here asking for advice before you go steaming into the unknown. Coming out can and still is very difficult for some, it’s a shame as in today’s society you would think it be a doddle,

I agree with PA, is it family or certain friends that would be cross with you?

Where about’s do you live? Are there any support groups near you as these are a very good start.

Don’t know what else to say really; apart from keep posting and I hope you get the help you need from Gay Speak

Keep Posting Mister

Hello again,

Your support worker should understand, do you think you can tell him/her first before you tell anyone else?

That's also what I thought, Twister, so I think I may have suggested that to Joseph, already. He says he has a female support worker mostly.

Glad you are enjoying college.......

If you do decide to go to a group, you may want to get the number and give them a call first, that way you can keep your anonymity.
They would best advise you on how to proceed

Hope that helps

The group meets on Tuesday evenings in Newcastle City Centre, offering a safe space to discuss coming out, gay men and the law, HIV, safer sex, relationships. Social activities and trips out.
Also provides groups for a range of age groups.

Mesmac, 3rd Floor
