i could date someone my own name, and imagine if I take his last name or he takes my last name LOL

I'm currently dating a guy with the same name as my brother and I don't really find it weird, but I *have* wondered if it *should* creep me out.

The only question I would have about dating someone with the same name as a family member, do you talk in your sleep, might make it a little, ah, unconfortable, Jim

What about dating someone with the same EXACT name as you?
Like, lets say your name is John Greene. Would you date another guy named John Greene?
•
LOL GROSS.
But yes, it's a weird thing to be a deal breaker.
And besides, my boyfriend has the same name as me, I'm in no position to be judging. Seriously, it's not even dating it's just narcissistic masturbation, when you go out with the same person as yourself whose name are you going to say when making out/sex (No, I haven't actually done this, perverts)?
That's right. Bet you wish you were dating someone with the same name as yourself too now.
Unfortunately, the world can't contain that much conceit.

i've slept with someone that has the same name as my brother, it really wasn't an issue

Interesting thread....
I probably wouldn't date anyone with my father's, uncle's or brother's name.
My name? I don't see any problem there, since it wouldn't really remind me of myself, and even if it did, it wouldn't gross me out. The only problem would be when people would say one of our names, I could see how that would get annoying, but I'd probably have people refer to me by my nickname when we were together to avoid any confusion.

not my grandpa or father or brother's name; but I did date a couple of people with the same first name as me; even though it was spelled differently

It's not his fault...
So I won't bother to care
