I dont know that I eat any "gross" foods, such as animal innards and what not......

I do like some stuff that a few people have said "gag" too--

Peanutbutter and banana mashed together for a sandwich.

I like crushed potato chips in my soup, in my salad, and on my chili.

My friends think that Asian food and sushi is gross and disgusting.

Being jobless a few times in my life........I have had to become "inventive" with my food.
One of my fav's is Mulligan Casserole (see my Recipe of the Day thread for that). Pretty much whats left over in the fridge, combined with box of Mac n Cheese and baked.

Dont really know that I like anything thats considered "gross".

I really like ketchup.

When I was younger I tried it with everything, to the great displeasure of my family, who disliked the notion of ketchup covered pizza, pasta, cake, everything.

Now I put ketchup on generally normal things.

But I still really like ketchup.

Edit: Also, I really really really like Eel, which surprises even me!

I used to put ketchup on pasta too. When I was younger my bro's and I
ate white rice and ketchup or just ketchup and bread.

I remember awhile back I had breakfast at a friends house and I put
ketchup on the scrambled eggs and my friend looked at me like I was
from Mars.. I guess.. most people don't do that..? I always thought they did, lol

Oh and I used to mix mayo, ketchup and relish and dip my fries in it. The mixture
looks like Ed's sauce from 'Good Burger' hahaha xD

'balut'. But there's also 'dinugoan[sp?]' which is pretty much pigs-blood-stew,
'kare-kare' which is also another stew made out of tripe [stomach lining], 'isaw'
which is chicken intestine, pig brain soup with 'miswa'[sp?].. and a bunch of
other things.. Nothing really goes to waste.

Oh... Kare kare is one of my faves. It would be really weird for others. Its an oxtail and peanut stew.. With some vegetables. And you match it with "bagoong" (shrimp paste). Imagine how it would taste....

Haha, i do like making tusok tusok on manong's cart

Just tried:
Fishball, squidball, kikiam?, then the kwek kwek or tokneneng whatever they call it...the quail eggs with orange breading which you will dip in either vinegar with chili or sweet sauce.

And yeah, chicharong bulaklak. Once in a while....

And the mango with bagoong (shrimp paste)

Pinoys do have weird taste buds Smile

we'd buy the big bags at SM Wink

but kwek-kwek/tokneneng we make tusok tusok it from the kanto and make the manang
put it in a plastic baso and make buhos buhos the vinegar.

That's definitely one of the weirder things I've tried. I definitely ended up enjoying abalone after trying it though. It just sucks that I can't find too many places that serve it. I really need to move back to the coast...

For some reason, snails in tomato and garlic sauce seem to set most people off on the ewwwww route....

I love them Smile
