Those of us who use our voices professionally will, of course, be aware of the importance of drinking water. "Pee pale" is one rule for keeping the vocal tract moist.

Oh absolutely not - my physician was MOST cheesed off with me for years and years ... apparently carbonated drinks lead to an increase of a silt-like deposit in the body that can cause kidney stones ...

... but *touch wood* I'm still doing ok, and now I'm making (in some ways at least) healthier choices for myself ...

The volume I consume varies from day-to-day as it would do with everyone as you would be tempted to replenish water lost through sweat more on a hot day than you would on a cold day.

USUALLY i have 3 or 4 pints of water throughout the day, and several 500ml (or 750ml) mineral waters. I rarely drink anything other than water. And if I do, it's milk :-)

I, like my big bruv Shadow, never used to drink water whatsoever as it had no flavour. But I've been drinking a lot of water for the last... 6 years now at least. Gotta say I love it. Nothing more refreshing than a pint of water full of ice... mmmmmmmmmm!!!!

I've had quite a dehydrating weekend... wine and vodka on the Saturday, wine and err.. wine on the Sunday. Water consumption was virtually zero (probably a litre the entire weekend!! plus a few cups of tea).

And yes, dehydration certainly does darken your pee!!

Sorry I didnt remember this earlier but it is the drugs talking usually, lol.

I asked some on another forum on how to keep cool and one suggestion was to use ginger infused water.

It is amazing and really does keep ya cool. Easy to make.

Best to use fresh ginger root. Ground some off. For a gallon of water I only used a teaspoon of fresh ginger.

I put a couple cups of water in a pan and added the ginger to the boiling water. I let it settle for about 5 mins covered. Strain out the ginger then add that infusion to the rest of the gallon of cool water. Put back into the fridge and drink cooled.

It keeps your body cooled for a long time. The taste is very mild.

Yeah I don't even LIKE ginger, but I might have to try that, PARTICULARLY if it helps to keep your body temperature down .

Thanks babe !
