General Health Question about the Flu
#21
Have you had your "old people" shots in the past year?

I got mine when I turned 50 last year. But you can get them before you turn 50 if you think you need them. Flu, pneumonia, and something else...I forget. Prolly would'nt hurt for you to get a B12 shot either.

I slept another 10 hours.

Nausea
Dizziness
Feeling really cold
Feeling really hot
Your equilibrium is wobbly
Cant drink or eat anything
Everything, even water, makes you throw up

Yep that is pretty much the symptoms I got.

Plus every bone in my body is aching.

I'm drinking warm weak herbal tea right now with a bit of lemon and honey. my stomach isn't hurting this morning. Its been feeling like I have something hard lodged in their, and vomiting relieves that for a while. Woke up without that this morning.

I think I will try white toast no butter in a while. I doubt by super heavy, whole wheat bread will sit well - actually the thought of whole wheat toast makes my stomach cringe.

I am spraying every surface with germicidal sprays and using wipes on keyboard, door knobs etc. My damned roommate got the right flu jab this year and he hasn't gotten the damn thing - I suspect he is a carrier - bloody regular typoid mary.

In all honesty going to visit Bob in hospital and in this rehab center thing most likely has exposed me to the virus over and over again. I know the the night I took him through ER that that brat sitting next to me kept coughing and sneezing without covering its face with a plastic bag or something....

been having my jabs since about 30 I guess,, still ended up at hospital 2 years ago, they can only do a best guess at what to put in the vaccine so not always perfect, its better than not having one though

To my surprise, a suggestion to try bread with peanut butter (ONLY PB) actually worked to cure my nausea back when I had food poisoning (despite that the very idea of eating it made me feel a tad sicker). It's not the same as the flu, but if I ever catch that again (though when I did catch it I didn't have it that bad) I'd give it a try.

Some minced ginger in warm apple juice will help with nausea as well.

Well I'm past the vomiting when I look at food part. So I guess I'm getting better. Still ran down and lacking energy. Doing three loads of laundry required a 6 hour nap yesterday, doing two loads to day only required a three hour nap...

On the bright side its raining, so I don't feel compelled to force myself to tend to the yard...
