The weird snowstorms are a result of Climate Change, which only political groups calim isnt a real phenomenon. There is no longer any real dispute among climate scientists that it might not be real.

There actually is still strong discussions about the validity of climate change as an unnatural phenomenon versus a natural cycle and politician using 'climate change' as propaganda and a means to tax the air that we breath.

Im talking about the actual hurricane system that lasted almost a year over North America. That fucked up our weather patterns over Texas. We used to have actual seasons in Texas, now you never know what the hell is going to happen.

VileKyle Wrote:Now I can definitely agree with that part. Snow up north wasn't ever too terrible unless it was a blizzard, since people were prepared for it and knew how to drive in it. Down south it's an entirely different story.

Damn, people here can't drive on the road on a clear day, much less in any kind of weather. I see wrecks here all the time, so now that there's snow on the ground the city is turning into a junk pile of wrecked cars. I know how to drive in it, so my main concern is making sure nobody else hits me.

I went out to the store today to get some food. I had this one shit-for-brains moron driving ON my rear bumper all the way down the street!!! And then on the way back, I had ANOTHER shit-for-brains douchebag driving on my rear bumper all the way down the street!!!

On the way to the store, I saw shitheads speeding through red lights, speeding through stop signs, and sliding all over the fucking place.

On the way back from the store, I saw this piece of shit moron make a U-turn from the FAR RIGHT LANE in one direction....IN TRAFFIC....and go into the far right lane of the opposite direction!!!! And this is a 6 lane street with a median in the middle of it!!!

And, except for me, NONE of these sacks of shit had their headlights on!!!!!

This is the typical response that came from the people who deny the phenomenon. I dont mean you in particular, I mean the conspiracy theorists who rely on outdated information on the subject, who are the ones pushing the fallacy that it is still "up in the air"

There are no longer these strong discussions about if its real or if it isn't. The discussions range from are humans involved or not. Whatever the answer is is secondary to the fact that it IS happening, and we can expect unusual weather.

And since wikipedia is a so-so source to cite, here are a few other links:

To say that governments are making it up is a really extraordinary claim that doesnt hold water

I wish it only snowed that little here. Yesterday I shoveled the driveway, sidewalk, and walkways at my house. There was a solid 1 foot of snow everywhere, resulting in numerous ~ 3-4 foot snowpiles strewn across my yard. Tongue
Also according to the weather channel's website it's currently 18 degrees Fahrenheit but feels like 4 degrees with wind chill.

Who said the government are making it up?

be careful when 'assuming' what people are saying.

The Government is using the FEAR element of the changing climate to raise revenue and justify their taxes when there is nothing that taxing people higher and higher amounts will help.

For example, we have a 'carbon tax' which the spin doctors tell us will remove that dastardly pollutant, CARBON, from our environment and reduce the impact that humans have on the environment.

The changes in our climate do follow NATURAL patterns which can only be measured in millenia's, just not the patterns that are being reported on in the news based on 300 or so years of weather information.

The real conspiracy theorists are the ones that were telling us in 1980 that the sea would rise so high that by the turn of the century the entire eastern seaboard of Australia would be dramatically changed that Sydney Harbour would no longer boost the Opera House, Botanic Gardens and Darling Harbour and now the fact is there is no desernable change in the sea level in the last 40 years.

This is without mention of the Research vessel that got trapped in a place where the ice had receeded so far that the spot they were in was 'miles' away from ice....but they got trapped in????

Well fuck me dead, that Ice shouldn't be there.

Understand why there are skeptics...you know, the people that you are kindly referring to as 'conspiracy theorists'?????

Can't help but love the Dallas drivers. Reckless fools we are.
