On a more serious note, I have asked myself whether homosexuality is sinful or not and I believe it is not. It doesn't make any sense to go to hell for LOVING someone. And if it really were evil, homophobia and discrimination would make no sense whatsoever.

Even if you were right then you'd be a heretic ("free thinker") for dissenting with the church which gets its understanding from divine revelation as God is the only one who can know these things. Don't you know you can't make up your own morality? You need God (and thus the church) to define it for you. Or do you no longer believe this?
