These people may be teachers such as parents, priests, school teachers, anyone in authority who pollute and frighten people (usually children) into believing that some things are wrong or are simply true when the reality is they are just exercising their power and influence over people because of personal preferences or because simply they have been brainwashed themselves.

These people incite hatred and set society back many years. They have dangerous minds and mouths and tend to have double standards for themselves.

They only thing we can do is to see them for what they are, to stand our ground and hope that some of their "pupils" will try to educate themselves on these matters some day.
For ourselves, there is little point in becoming emotional about ignorance. It has and always will exist. The main thing is that we make our own decisions and draw our own conclusions based on our own beliefs as opposed to making them by virtue of being brainwashed.
