I will say allot of folks saw Argo long before people were aware of just how much the "story" had been changed. I read the book years ago and expected something roughly similar and got the equivalent of an episode of the "A-Team"....and was disappointed.

joking of course I don't really enjoy Middle East-topic American movies to begin with and I also hate how Ben Afflect acts.

Of course now that you reminded of Iran I remembered Oliver Stone's "Alexander" which (besides being horribly bad) portrayed Persian as Arab peoples and with Arab idumentary....some 800 years before Islamic expansion....LOL...

plus, Iranian folks were Caucasian originaly before mixing with Arabs..hahaha..

Hollywood always take these "licenses"
