I've never been to G-A-Y before, so wouldn't know what it's normally like, let alone how it's final night was mile:

Didn't go. But heard the bitching already about it lol.

Some good acts were on it seemed, although people moaning the wrong Minogue sister was there... should be grateful Dannii was there I'd say... all the acts that did go (McFly, Dannii, Sam Sparro, The Feeling, Sophie Ellis Bextor and a couple more) would have made for a great night out.

The grand finale was apparently a bit of a letdown, a speech by Jeremy followed by a walk back to the bar where drinks were still for sale... described as one big promotional ad for the bar.

Why did they close it down?

It must have been a profitable business, was just craving for a decent make over. At least the first and the last time i went there needed at least a good brush and a couple buckets of paint!:tongue:

It was good. But I was disappointed as I only went cos everyone I knew garunteed it was Kylie. It was the big talk lol. Oh well. I did manage to catch Mcfly's drumstick! Sophie ellis bextor was amazing. I wouldn't have thought so but she was brilliant. She did a duet with the feeling. Bucks fizz performed which was really funny. But I did expect a bit more for the finale.


Oh well... G.A.Y isn't stopping there. It will be contiued they said but where is not known.

It's supposed to be... Astoria to be demolished as part of the new Crossrail link!?!?

But now, Club OMO is taking up residence there from this Friday so it's left me... and I'm sure many others... somewhat confused :confused: :confused:

To go completely off topic (seeing as i don't live in London and have thus been denied the pleasure of GAYing it up as opposed to regular gaying) can i just vent my jealousy at you having seen the Bextor perform??

Her awesomeness is really on a level all of its own.

I was supposed to be seeing her TWICE in the last year or so and it's not happened BOTH TIMES!!

That's because the other sister was performing at the O2? And I don't quite think she can stretch from North Greenwich to Central London to be in two places at once... *scratches head*
