The Hardness of Closets
#1
Love this video which explains what it's like to have a hard conversation. Well said, Ash!

Number one "be authentic"....... Complete fail. I can't even do that for the non-gay side of me. I'm already a perfect working responsible son, so to me my family doesn't need to be informed of anything else.

I'm starting to think it would be pointless at this point to tell anything about me to my parents, let alone I'm gay.

Problem is the rest of the folks out there. Hmmm..so it's either I start wearing a "pride" bracelet or something like that or I move to another place and start over.

The direct and unapologetic parts, that I can certainly do.

*sigh* Yes I know the closet is no place to live but I'm rather unwilling to let go of the grenades or the armor....or the rocket launchers..

Interesting video, PA, and certainly not the first time I've heard people say what she says

Let's hope one day you'll be out of that armour, Biochem.... Best wishes to you and for your future life. You'll get there.
