Any body work in healthcare or public service?

I got a Degree for Veterinary Technology, but it's a severely under needed skill here, as we don't have many animals other than ones used for food or pets and we already have loads of Vets here.

I got it while working or "shadowing" my boss at our local Aquarium, as he is also a Vet, so I was lucky to do both.(through a college obviously, but he was the one to train and guide me - but only for the minor stuff, only Vets do surgeries)

But now it's just something of a back up, even tho next to Music, Animals are a very close second passion.

I mainly specialize with Reptiles and Amphibians and Birds, but not so much with Mammals. Working at the Aquarium(which is also a Zoo), I mostly got practice on more exotic animals, so I probably need to broaden out some more...

I have 2 experiences that really made me pursue the field and that was witnessing my Newt die as a child and then being able to assist in the mending and rehabilitation of a Night Heron, who had a broken leg.

If you have not had any luck I would strongly suggest researching your state's career facilitation service system for help with getting a plan in place to go where you want to go. I've also heard the same and that it's an entry level job, but it's kind of
frustrating to hear this but at the same time get turned down time and again
due to lack of experience.

When you get turned down for a job due to lack of experience it was not the right job to apply for. You are looking for entry level nursing assistance jobs right? If your license is about to expire and you do not already have any experience then there is something missing from this situation for clear understanding. Maybe you are being turned down for other reasons and the lack of experience is just a convenient excuse rather than admitting you are being prejudged based on other ideas or issues.

I study medicine and work 8 hours a day in hospitals as part of my education, right now i am rotating through internal medicine. What i like the most is being able to treat patients while at the same time being guided and teached by veteran specialist doctors.

It could be, but I don't see why that would be the case. Every reference and past
work experience have been fine. I used to be a Dietary Aide for several homes prior
to getting my cert. It doesn't expire for two years, but I got it last Nov and I still have't
found work. Most of the positions/shifts I've applied for were for Per-Diem/part time or
for really odd shifts or weekend only shifts.

I'm just drawing a big blank at this point.
