Quite probably both, tradition has it that the single-young-guy-alone-at-christmas (as will likely be the case unless a certain someone decides exactly how things are and are to be between us... long story) does not open his gifts until christmas morning, but that the depressive factor strikes fairly early on Christmas eve, so I should think that the liquor store will be the first port of call.
