I am staying. There are too many good people here with some really good advice. I like it here! One person I am really going to miss is woolyhats. He is a very intelligent young man with some great post. I hope he comes back.

i am sorry but i really do not think anybody owns anybody any explaination about leaving.

If someone hates me or does not like me I do not discuss it with them. I move on and forget.

Hi nullnaught,
But what about those of us that like the person who leaves?
Not so much an explaination, but more of that you are leaving, where you are going and who you are whereever you are going, so that I am able to connect with you there...

Isn't that common curtesy?

Isn't disapearing a slap in the face of those that have connected with you?

I think so...

Today It's all about me...me.... me.... nothing is "us" anymore...

Send your sparkling positivity around!

I'm really not happy of the actual situation here, I don't want to leave, but the most of my 'friend list' is gone in the last month (half in the last 2 weeks...) etc.
I do appreciate this forum, but I don't want to feel 'alone' at a certain point...

I kind of agree with nullnaught. It's just a public forum and I know if I ever decided to leave, I would only PM to those people I've managed to make friends with and leave them some possibility to contact me, if they want to.

This is not just a public forum to me. This is a public forum but it is a medium I use to connect with others, give and receive support and work on relationships with others. They may be of varying degrees more or less serious or "important" but they ALL have value or I'd not waste my time. The first step to improving day-to-day living is to clarify values and be certain of what's important, if this is done well it will most always lead to relationships with others. I have a certain level of antisocial personality at times and I once didn't give a flying fart whether anyone liked it or not, I'm older and I'm wiser now and know that being like that comes from ignorance and woundesness. Working on healing and having a decent recovery-based lifestyle helps move past that smoke screen and into reality. So I love even those that only know how to show themselves asstically and offer patience while they heal with hope to evolve. Viva La Evolution was a great post previously! Yllove

I feel sorry to read your post sillyboy and I totally understand. I hope you'll still have connections with the ones that really were important to you and I for one will look forward to your staying on here! You don't ever have to feel along here but if you ever do I hope you'll let us know so we can hug you up and tell you we love you! Knuddel

I'm still fairly new here and to be honest surprised I have stuck with it. Every time I get involved with message boards I just get bored and let it go.

I don't know how long I will last but i have enjoyed it so far.

Of course it's not just a public forum. It didn't appear out of nowhere. A creator was needed. Someone needed to take the impetus. If it were generating a profit it would be easier to explain, but I've seen non-money-making ventures ruined before. Individual egos sometimes are even more powerful incentives than profit.

I am sure Gayspeak's creator realizes he has a tremendous responsibility to the site, to us, and to each one of us. Please note that I have not yet made my decision, but I am not sure that GS's creator and I agree on what his responsibility is to us as individuals. This is the focal point, and what I need to base my decision on.

Well... probably... but that's what is so perplexing. When one or two hotheads self-delete, that's one thing, but when some of our most level-headed calm and insightful members do so, that's entirely different.

On the contrary, those who are self-deleting are doing so in support of the others whom they would feel like they were betraying if they didn't.

This is a very perplexing conundrum. It is a question of loyalty, and there are probably only two possible answers, as the third is not a third, but a rejection of those who have junped ship.
