Gabriel García Marquez dies

He died at the age of 88. He had unfortunately been suffering from Alzheimer's but he has left a treasury of literature for us to continue to enjoy. RIP.

When he was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature for his "Cien Años de Soledad (One Hundred Years of Solitude), he was asked by a reporter if it was the most important day of his life. His reply was: "No, the most important day of my life was when I was born". He was one of sixteen children!
