Nobody mentioned Wong Kar-wai's "Happy Together"? I'd say that one is my favorite, right next to Angels in America. Wong Kar-wai has a very peculiar style, which shines through in all of his movies, especially in his romantic dramas but also in the latest kung-fu flick. They all have this lovely nostalgic vibe to them.
This is going to sound daft, but can somebody pick out all the ones with a happy ending? They always seem to end in drugs, suicide or AIDS...it's like....seriously?

Not daft at all I hate the awful endings!
At the momemt I can think of...
*Maurice based on E. M. Forster's excellent novel of the same name
*But I'm a Cheerleader (a teemage Natasa Lyoone, yes from Orange is the new black)
Wamt an even bigger pick-me-up from the depressing stories? Forster wrote Maurice based on a real gay couple he was friends with in the early 1900s! Barely a decade after Oscar Wilde
