Hair today...gone tomorrow...
#1
Hello my wild and whacky friends! I wanted to talk a bit about body hair and get some feedback from you all.

So I've been shaving my underarms for years and I gotta say, I LOVE IT! Why you might ask? First, less deodorant needed, second, my underarms never, EVER, have a hint of an offending odor, and third, it just looks soooo much better! But the pits ain't the point in this post.

There are a couple things to discuss here.

1. I often use Nair to keep my luscious rump and in between the cheeks free from hair. But it is VERY hard to keep from getting red bumps. I have to use a mixture of a certain lotion and coconut oil but I'm not always successful. I'm guessing some of the issue is with ingrown hairs maybe....hmmm.... I also do the same with my chest (though I'm not a very hairy guy to begin with, which is all the more reason to get rid of the 8-12 hairs that say hello every now and again!) Those of you who keep the booty from getting all sasquatchy, what methods do you use and/or how do you prevent the red bumps?

2. Last Thursday I got a wild hair up my butt (get the pun?) and decided to shave my legs for the first time ever...just cause...that's why. It took FOREVER! Seriously, FOOORRREEVVVERRR! Obviously the fact that I didn't use clippers to trim the hair down had a lot to do with it but still, it was rough. I have to add that I didn't cut myself at all. Once I was done, the feeling was amazing. I loved how it felt to the touch, against the sheets, rubbing each other like a cricket, everything! But I soon realized my legs aren't as sexy as I thought they'd be. All the imperfections and scars from being a skater in my younger years along with a couple veins (very light though) showing made me second guess my decision to shave. I also used Nair on my tummy and the happy trail but I realize the hair I had there helped to camouflage this little bit of fat that won't seem to go away. So the second part of this is, what do you think of a guy that is basically hairless (still have hair on my arms, and pubes are very well groomed but not shaven off)?

Thoughts? Comments? Questions?

Sorry if this post is poorly written, my eyes keep rolling into the back of my head and I think my face hit the keyboard a couple times...it's time to sleep!

Would love to comment.. but since I'm a bear lover I'd have nothing positive to say.

I like to shave some of my armpit hair off, on occasion, because it gets quite bushy and too long, but I leave vissible hair left, because I like the more mature look that bodyhair brings. The same goes for the cock. Again on occasion. It's not something I keep (done/doing).

And *cough*, before I can have bb with my delicious husbear in my hiney, I must do some hair removal, as they will otherwise treat his member like a carrot being shredded. And as much as I enjoy the act that follows, I hate doing that. It's so hard to do! I do it was a razor. Do you recommend nair? (Edit: Turns out I can't actually get Nair in Denmark. How is Veet compared to it?)

Yeah, nothing positive here as well. I don't know that men shave their legs hair as well? I like my men to be moderately hairy, and suppose he's hairless,it's because genetically he is. Armpits hair definitely need to be shaven, while pubes could use some trimming, chest and legs hair should just be left, and as for facial hair, well,I prefer stubble, but it doesn't really matter. Just my 2 cents~

I am a bear.

Nairing (or Veeting) would require head to toe application (and I do mean toes as well!) and the smell of hair removal cream is vile. Besides which I don't have the time do do such preening!

Hair today..Hair tomorrow works for me Shakin

For me it's ok to shave armpits and face, but legs and stomach is a bit too extreme. A grown man with completely no body hair would make me think about whether he has some disease or some weird fetish. It definitely wouldn't be a turn on for me.

I find the shaving of body hair to be a sort of lie. And its a bit offensive to my preferences - if Bigfoot was available for dating he would have my attention... marriage would be on the table right off the bat... I like them tall and hairy.

Guys who shave off their signs of masculinity appear to be children to me... I am not attracted to nor interested in children. I prefer men. And body hair is a distinct indicator between man and boy. Shaved pubes are an immediate turn off to me, my stomach literally rolls over when I see such in porn.

Also, recent research reveals that shaving (pubes at least) has some unintended consequences which actually do negative things for humans:

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/...08628.html

http://www.alternet.org/sex-amp-relation...pubic-hair

Its OK if you want to do that... not all guys are into it and you might discover that the guys who are attracted may not like the 'real you' once you relax and let the real you out. Body shaving is a sort of lie, it leads one to believe you are X when you are actually Y. But then a lot of aspects of humans are cover-ups and lies... Clothing is a big one... everyone should be naked and face the naked truth....

Lastly the whole body shaving, especially the pubes is connected to the porn industry. Back in the 1970's when porn was rare, 'all natural' was the thing. Then in the 1980's the VHS (and Beta) tape arrived, which lead to more sales of porn, which lead to porn 'directors' and 'writers' (both words used loosely in this case) to seek ways to make porn hotter. One way was to start removing hair to get better close-ups of the action... This lead to an era where hair trimming eventually lead to hair shaving.

Your take on hair shaving may be more biased based on what others think than what you naturally think and their bias is based on watching too much porn.

As for 'stink'. Humans are an animal that relies on smell to pick mates. Few people seem to understand that colognes, perfumes, aftershave, deodorants, etc block and/or mask your real scent. Lots of articles exist on scent and human beings: https://www.google.com/#q=natural+scent+...+your+mate

Couples into the leather scene (BDSM) also tend to have better, deeper longer lasting relationships. While a lot of that can be struck up to how BDSM works, all of that communicating and serious self discovery to insure sex is safe and secure (and safe goes beyond STDS - we are talking emotionally safe), the leather crowd also tends to refrain from using colognes, aftershave, antiperspirants/deodorants.

True some like 'grunge' (heavy stink not mere scent) and will go without the regular bathing, the reality is that upon first meeting a potential mate scent plays a role, tells you a lot about the potential partner and if your scents mesh, it can mean and stronger bond.

Recent 'discovery' of Gay Pheromones may shed some light on the dating scene for ya: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/...scent.html Thus there is scientific back-up here on how scent affects attraction in humans, and in this case gay males.

I suspect that one reason why so many human relationships fail is because we get attracted to the wrong person due to these 'coverups' of self - sort of a lie. I do know that due to birthcontrol, female sense of smell and her scent changes to where she is more likely to end up with Mr. Wrong since hormones determine a lot on who we pick as a mate.

http://www.scientificamerican.com/articl...ens-taste/

Thus I submit that scent is highly important to the dating/relationship thing.

Armpit hair serves several purposes, which also includes making certain your scent is 'broadcasted' to find your mate. It wicks water (sweat) from the usually snug pit, thus leading to better cooling of that general area it wicks your scent outward so others can smell you. it also prevent chaffing of the skin. Your armpit skin moves against each side more readily when buffed with loose hair than it does without.

Personally, I use to use deodorant and antiperspirants religiously... that lead to my sweat stinking terribly near the end of the day. once I stopped applying that crap to my pits on a daily basis my sweat stopped stinking. Mind I will go 'ripe' if I don't shower daily, but its not an over powering stink as in the days when I spread on pit cream every day.

More research on that subject reveals other interesting things in that line: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/15...32353.html

My earwax tells me its safe for me to fore go modern chemistry.... Wink

None of that means you should pass up on the daily shower, however you may want to refrain from covering up your own unique scent if you are looking for a partner. You may want to start doing a bit of research on how things work in the natural odor, um, order and consider how these practices may be affecting your relationships to date.

Body hair, to each their own... However you may want to think about it more and consider that your body grows hair where it does for natural reasons. It serves a purpose - we may not understand the full purpose, but Mom Nature rarely makes mistakes (platypus is an exception to that rule I guess).

Also consider how much money you are throwing at your 'hygiene' products. It should cause us all to pause to wonder if we really need all that shit, or if we are programed via commercial interruptions to believe we need to stink pretty and have smooth skin... it certainly leads to someone making a profit if we believe these things.
