Once upon a time a wee Half-Elf lad was born to the Wicked Witch of California. Due to the nature of his witch mother, that lad grew up to be a quiet elf who strove to do good, but was always bound to do evil due to the wicked ways his mother taught him.
He carries a drop of darkness in his heart and soul... Whilst many claim it does not exist (he hides this part of self so well), he knows it exists. And this knowledge has caused him to strive to do a bit more good than evil... with mixed results.
Many were the trials and tribulations of the Half Elf, who loved (and lost), lived (and died once, or twice) and struggled with his demons, and fought many dragons and slew a few. As the seasons gave way to years and the years rolled into decades, the half-elf learned wisdom. Of a sorts.
Whilst Magick in the realm is weak, and sparse - occasionally our Half Elf can cast a spell to cause wonder amongst the mundane full bred humans of the realm.
Being half elf it is no wonder that he mastered the Bow - not only the bow and arrow, but also the bow of the violin. Whilst true our modest half elf speaks of his prowess with either bow as being nothing, in truth his skills were quite astounding to those who witnessed his use of either.
And his affinity to wood (as all wood elves are said to have) he became a master carpenter to earn his coin.
Unfortunately his story is not complete - yet... perhaps when it is complete some bard will write a song to recount is not so extraordinary life.

Once upon a time there lived a family of hard-working peasants that had a healthy baby boy. As the boy grew up he grew tired of the labor that aches the humble peasantry, and grew very annoyed at earning what little coin he could from being servants to the snooty nobility. When the healthy boy was a lad in high school he discovered the reason why he was different from all the other lads was because he was not a mortal but actually a fairy. The realization that he was a fairy devastated him as the villagers he went to school with were superstitious and feared fairies. Despite being a fairy the boy was able to deceive the foolish villagers into thinking he was mortal like they were.
While the young boy fairy studied in school, he soon discovered he had a knack for his classes in the dark arts, getting high mark in subjects such as alchemy. By the last year of the fairy's education in the dark recesses of high school, he received an acceptance letter from Hogwarts Institute of Technology. By the dawn of adulthood, the fairy boy had grown into a witty, gorgeously handsome, strapping lad, who decided being a wizard was his best chance to free himself from the muscle aches that plague the humble peasantry, as well as rise above the fairy-phobic fools of high school.
At Hogwarts Institute of Technology, however, the young fairy man realized wizardry was not easy at all; in fact, learning wizardry was far harder than any of the labors the fairy had done as a servant to the nobility, or even the labor he did on the farms of his village.
The greatest bane of all was learning the dark magic of the demons - calculus! Soon, the fairy became disenfranchised from reality, and gradually became brainwashed by the wizards at Hogwarts, never having time to frolic with the other fairy's but instead spending long nights studying dark magic such as alchemy and mathematics. He became addicted to the forbidden elixir known as caffeine, drinking gallons of magic potions such as coffee so he can stay awake long enough to do his homework for his professors of wizardry.
The fairy continues his quest to become a licensed professional wizard, yet will always be burdened by the Wizard Council's demand for high marks and transferable credit.
He will never have time to have happy frolic fairy time while at Hogwarts and will probably not graduate for another thousand years. Wizards who are allowed entrance into the forbidden halls of Hogwarts sometimes report sightings of the spectral. The hauntings of the fairy spectral are always somber - haunting the alchemy lab, dropping vials of acid; haunting the hallways, dragging a heavy backpack that is too heavy for him too carry; haunting the library, ripping up pieces of paper that were failed math solutions.
Perhaps someday, the fairy will become a wizard, and he will marry a beautiful prince who will make all of his dreams come true. Someday, he'll have his prince.
