Sooo...that happened.

I consider myself bisexual. Though I have had more sexual encounters with guys than girls, I don't think that really changes anything. It all depends on the spark (like someone else mentioned) that happens. With the females I've been with, it was mostly kissing, cuddling and some dry humping to climax. With the guys I've been with, we've gone further. It all depends on how well you click.

Personally, I would go farther with a female if there was a spark between us, just haven't been as lucky with that gender.

Plus I had to come into my own sexually and become comfortable with myself. Take the time to do so for yourself. Don't be afraid to do this too. It may take some time, it took me awhile to deal with my nerves.

Good for you!.

As to being bi-sexual, you will just have to check out your feelings for girls - maybe have sex with some. Watch some porn - gay and straight. Figure out what turns you on.

As to diseases STDs -- yes they are out there. With safe condom use, it is extremely unlikely that you will pick up HIV or hepatitis or syphilis. Gonorrhea, however, is very easy to catch. If you hang out with reasonable guys (who would get themselves treated if they had anything), you are unlikely to catch these. You would know pretty quickly if you contracted Gonorrhea - most likely in the penis or throat. So, if the guy (or woman) you have sex with is not having sex with lots of different partners, he/she would know if they had it, since symptoms come so soon. The best way to catch STDs is to have sex with a meth addict or sex addict you met online - so avoid guys who do drugs, and avoid Craigslist. There are other, less significant ailments out there, not as serious, but are most likely contracted from someone who has a lot of sex partners. Its also easy to catch herpes and HPV virus because they are transmissible without any symptoms being present. A LOT of people have had both of these, and a lot of them don't know it, and for most of the time, there are no symptoms present. Neither is life-threatening or debilitating for a man, and if you catch herpes, it is easily treatable.

Don't worry too much about disease. They are there. Its a fact of life that comes with sexual freedom, and they are treatable.

There is lots of info on line about all the STDs out there.

First, congratulations on you adventure. The good experience has made you think about following up and that is a good thing, too, though you should be more careful and prepare in advance.

There are lots of STDs and lots of ways to catch them. What you need to do now, in addition to enjoying your friend, is to educate yourself and develop a relationship with a doctor or clinic so that you have a thorough understanding of what is going on. Your campus health center is a good place to start, but you can certainly go to a private doctor, the public health department, or a non-profit clinic that concentrates on sexual health. You must go and be tested and also be very honest about not only what you have done, but about your concerns and need for knowledge. There is no real need to be embarrassed. This is part of being an adult.

Condoms? Yes. Use them. Common sense.

Good luck and here's to a good outcome all around.
