As for your comment about the threads starting to die down, it is happening both here and in That Other Place. That's OK.

Over there, the trolling had gotten to be unbearable and whether it calmed down for lack of an audience or because the admin {""] actually made a move is not clear. Too much bitching was giving lots of people a sour stomach.

Over here, people who have moved are still figuring it all out. It is a little difficult to m=nail this place down.

I can see what you all meant about the drama. It seems one or two that came over tried to initiate some, rally up some hate for RJ, then decided to go back and rally up hate for here since seeing it didn't work :p

Initially like 30+ of you came over posted like crazy, so that was going to calm down. Now its getting to a more normal pace, and a lot of you are still discovering features and things like that - so again understandable Its good you all came over, just lame that just because some missed the drama they try to shoot it down but ah well you can't win them all!!

Yeah...I never like the trolls or arguments very much myself. I don't get the appeal. I hear people say things would be boring without the trolls ...and maybe that's what motivates the trolls ...but I disagree about the boring part. I think the trolls and the drama are boring.

Thats what I think was missed. For quite a few GS was an addition and a fresh start.. for others they just tried to replace RJ with GS and use it the same. :p Anyway ranting now haha

I think each place has their own vibe and character and it depends on whether or not you click somewhere....

I belong to four gay forums..this was the first one I ever joined. I used to belong to political and entertainment boards...some since the 90s....

In the US we constantly hear claims of free speech rights being violated in online forums, including on that site some of came from, when someone has a post or thread deleted or a profile is banned. Sadly, many Americans are very mistaken about their free speech rights and believe they are much more encompassing than what they really are. They forget, websites are not a government and when you are on a website, you are really a guest on someone's private property and when you're on someone's property, they make and enforce the rules including limitations on your speech. There is a reluctance on that other site to enforce its own rules for fear of sending the trolls and troublemakers away since they now make up so much of the site and hearing people scream about their misinformed rights to free speech.
