Life can be so stressful and overwhelming... I really don't want to deal with all these hurdles that are in my way, but I know one day it will be worth it. I just have to get there.

Sitting here, petting Grace I wonder how much longer she will stay alive since she is diabetic and what I'll do without her company? I'm not sure I want another cat or dog. It is too hard watching them descend into illness and death.

Losing a pet is always very hard but think about how much pleasure we get from them while they are with us in life.

I've had one try to physically fight me because I wouldn't go out with her, one that expected me to pay for all of her meals whenever we went out, had one that gossiped at everything I did, another one get mad at me because I was dating the gay guy that she liked... the list goes on

I've lost another friend. I got a phone call today at work to tell me that my coworker (Margaret) passed away last night.

Margaret was one of the women who trained me for the job I currently have, she was smart, funny, truthful, and a pro at crosswords, finishing them before anyone else. We worked together since 1997.

In 2011 she took time off after feeling sick for some time. After a week, she came back to tell us she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which had already progressed to stage 4 by the time it was found. She was leaving the job at that point.

She stayed in touch with us, came to visit when she could. She saw her first grandchild born (at the end of 2012), and was with her family since leaving our job.

RIP, Margaret. I will miss you. You could always make me laugh.
