HE is the lucky one?
Well it should be fair to say that perhaps we are lucky to find each other
But yes, I often think in those terms and probably will end up biting me in the end.

And probably right to do so... In the past I have always gone out on a limb trying to date guys... It has been seldom that I get that in return...actually this dating experience is probably the first where the guy buys me dinner on the first date and then actually drove over to have dinner with me... So it is a new experience for me....

I wrote something kind of silly online. A friend of mine read it, and liked what I wrote, suggesting I write some more. So I wrote more....and more...and more...
I'm now 30,000 words into what I'm assuming is my first "book". I've never written a "book" before. I wonder if it'll be any good. Part of me doesn't care, because I'm enjoying the actual act of writing so much.

I think enjoying the writing is key. I actually have kept a journal since 2005, I don't write in it very often these days but I have managed almost 100,000 words. That's really not a whole lot considering the time-span. But for me it has been useful to think out my problems, also a bit of a place to put memories. I've come across things in the journal that really made me scratch my head, things I didn't remember doing or feeling.

axle2152, I am so damned jealous of your guy. If he is even halfway smart he will know he has a chance at a real catch. Here's hoping it goes well, then I can be jealous of BOTH of you.

Well I could say more, but I think for the moment it is probably best to keep it to myself-- not because I'm trying to keep a secret I just think it is a
But yes, I quickly caught on that this guy is not your run of the mill gay guy. So I want to take my time, as much as it drives me crazy to do so. Usually I let it go to my head, sort of, in the sense that they like me as much as I like them....That seems to be hard part for me, I get attached them, perhaps too much, and then its "Oh, I'm sorry we were just dating, I don't share the same feelings..." and so on. But I think the way we're both going about it gives me a lot more time to sit back and reflect on things and it helps put things into perspective. Instead of hanging out every day and every spare minute we both have and getting too carried away.
