What's on Your Mind
axle2152 Wrote:Those could be night terrors...are you known to move around or anything violent while you sleep...or is this something new... if it isn't you might want to go see a doctor and just rule out anything neurological...

It's happened for a couple of years now and only on the rare occasions I'm feeling overwhelmed with things in my life. Hopefully it won't happen again now for a while. It's generally just shouting out, apart from the time I dreamt I was building with Lego and woke up because my arms were doing the building movements in reality and had hit the wardrobe.

The only neurological thing I've ever 'suffered' from is epilepsy but I've been seizure free for over a year and a half now. This was related to sleep (or lack of), and my sister had had absence seizures when she was little. Maybe it's vaguely connected, or could have a link to my tablets, but I think it's probably just me being a stress-head Smile

IanSaysHi I think the two could be linked...but I'm far from being a doctor, but like you say may be stress related.

The only thing I can think of as far as advice to combat stress is change your thinking habits. I had really really bad anxiety for a while back in 2014, I decided to go for the behavioral therapy over medication and very glad I went that route.

I'd say that today I feel better about things in my life right now than I probably ever have. I mean that for the most part, I certainly have things to work on, like oh like the debt I've racked up and so on. It is mind over whatever it is. The feeling of constantly being overwhelmed sucks, and I know I hate it so it is just a matter of changing the chains of thoughts about things. I know that's an uber high level point of view but hopefully there's something there that helps...

I've got a lot better at dealing with stress over the last three years, however when I am stressed it's usually more intense, for shorter periods. I've got better at recognising things always sort themselves out, but I guess my brain still has it ticking over subconsciously, which is when it comes out on my sleep.

What is Sunday to you Emiliano?

For me, it is a workday. Always has been. I'm a fish out of water if I have the day off.

Quote:You should be proud and should definitely smile more

I'm going to try to do the same...did my first swing at swimming last night and definitely see it now being something that I might be able to actually achieve...

So @Jay the next picture of you should be of you smiling...like you mean it too xD
I do smile a lot but not in photograph because as you know... heh.

However, I do believe that you are right. I shouldn't put myself down just because of what few people have said about my face. To be frank, deep down I do know that I have pleasant looking face and was said so by people around. An expat named Keith from Irieland used to greet me, Ciao Bello every morning. But I was scared to acknowledge my face because of the strong critics I've had in the past including from my own family members.

Nonetheless I'm done with that.

I now acknowledge my face. To my critics, screw them.

Anyway enough about me. I salute you for your commitment and determination to compete in triathlon. I wish you nothing but the best to complete your triathlon. When is the triathlon going to be held?

My target this year is to compete in Viper Challenge, which is an obstacle event.
