Well, due to a rather odd ticket fuck up, (the ticket reservation number I got in an email from my company who booked the train tickets to Birmingham apparently had already been used by me?!), the Birmingham training trip is off! Hell knows how that happened, because I certainly haven't used them. The woman at the counter looked at me like I was trying to pull a fast one, how embarrassing! So, normal working day for me. But I do get tomorrow off now which breaks things up nicely I guess

Bosses asking me to do shit with a strain someone else had done, that allegedly had a gene that it never had because they never sent that strain to be sequenced, so they didn't actually know if it was there or not...and they expected me to produce it out of the blue?

It's bloody annoying! What adds insult to injury is for the first 18 months of living here, new houses were being built behind my place. That finally finished and we had a few months of relative quiet. Now it's like it has all started again. They are redoing the pavements, resurfacing the road and installing a pedestrian crossing. Could go on a while again it seems. Was looking forward to sleeping in this morning. No such luck. Might camp out in the fields at this rate, least it will be quieter

I read in the other thread that your sleep was disrupted too last night. At least I don't have work today, so I shouldn't grumble too much. You'll get through it Big D . I hope you sleep better tonight x
