Yep...also why people get sick when they get cold...immune function is reduced...and I think that viruses spread more easily in drier air....but I think that might have been disputed somewhere....

I never realize how hard I suck at being a legit adult until I try to do my taxes.
The course of my day is about to pivot from being super productive and pretending like I'm a real human being to just avoiding any and all responsibilities, drinking wine, and binge watching unsolved mysteries like the pathetic bipolar alcoholic toddler I truly am.

Taxes suck and the US has the most bullshit tax codes than anywhere in the world.... I have my dad do mine, he, I'm pretty sure, enjoys doing taxes...no fucking joke either... If it weren't for that I'd be going to a tax person... Thankfully this year is "simple"

My taxes are never simple. I have three jobs where I'm a part time employee and then one where I'm an independent contractor and I always end up owing money. The state is fining me for something too and I don't really understand what that's about. For the first time since November I'm actually ok with Trump and Bannon leading America, because the best part of a nuclear holocaust, I'd imagine, is that taxes and paperwork are the last thing on your mind.

Ah probably the same thing I had to do when I was self employed. You need to pay estimated taxes for your independant contracting job, that will keep you from owing so much in taxes, avoid fines... The fine might be that you owe the state a certain amount of tax.... I know that the Fed's is a $1,000 or more... Look up estimated taxes and see if that might be what you need. It sucks, because you pay your taxes quarterly. You also might want to claim mileage or any expenses for that job if at all possible... I had over $5,000 in claimed mileage in one year because it's usually $0.55 per mile, which that shit adds up quickly and can make a difference at the end of the year...

Emiliano: pathetic bipolar alcoholic toddler I'm using that! It gives me a useful frame of reference for my life.
As for your taxes, try TurboTax. I resisted for quite some time and then tried it two years ago. The heavens opened and down fell the refund! It really does help you organize. Take notes as you go through the deductions categories and they second year gets even easier. It's like that old commercial, "You spray it on. You wipe it off. It's a MIRACLE!!"

I have a headache for the second day now, and I can't even take a pill for it, because I don't want to bring my fever down.
Because pain, fever and inflammation are induced mostly by the same signaling pathways, namely prostaglandins and most antipyretics/antiinflammatories/pain relievers target the same enzyme that produces them, COX-2.
That said, there are pain-specific pharmaceuticals. These mess with the receptors of pain signals at the neuron level. Morphine and the likes will do this.
Anesthetics like lidocaine block voltage-gated Na+ channels in the neurons of the nerve in which it is applied. This causes an inability of the neuron membrane to undergo depolarization upon receiving a pain signal and so it can't transmit it.
Pain is a good thing too, you know? Without it you'd never know when something is going wrong with you and you wouldn't have made it pass childhood.
