So the good news is I should be getting the 1st shot of the vaccine tomorrow after lunch, excited about, also I don't like needles but it must be done.

I had mine today, feeling pretty rough but then that is common apparently. But it is progress, and hopefully the start of the road back to some kind of normality!

@Cridders88 My sister told me that the first one didn't bother her too much but the 2nd one made her feel pretty rough for a day. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

I had the AstraZeneca one, I've known other people to be unwell for a day or two after the first jab with this one. Apparently, the first jab of the Pfizer vaccine has a lower chance of side affects but then the 2nd one is likely to make you feel ropey. Those are the two available here at the moment.

How did yours go today?

The chills, fatigue and aching have gone today for me, just a bit of a leftover headache, which I am sure a good nights sleep will fix.

@Cridders88 I got the Moderna vaccine. It was a breeze for the most part, I think it might have made a me a bit more tired than normal last night, or I may have simply not got enough sleep.

Trying to get my boomer parents to get the vaccine, they've apparently watched too much 24/7 news of a particular variety and think they'll have a reaction, which is stupid to put it bluntly. If they get the virus it'll likely end up killing both of them. My dad is a heavy smoker and my mom has too many health problems and COPD. Honestly, as disappointing as it is I can't make them change their ways.

Glad your vaccination went ok and you felt ok afterwards Smile

That must be hard. I get people being wary, I mean any vaccination carries some risk but obviously very very low. And like you say, far less risk than getting COVID would for them. Seeing you have the vaccine with no adverse effects won't change their mind?

@Cridders88 You would think so right? lol It is frustrating. They have been mostly hermits for the past 20 years and it is disappointing that my father would choose to spend his retirement this way and my mother, although disabled, chooses to go along with it. They're a whole other subject... At any rate, hopefully having been vaccinated will mean that I won't be the reason they get sick with it.

But other than being tired and a sore arm seem to be doing fine. So, I'm hoping that means I'll be able to go to a Beltane celebration in at the end of April Smile
