SO what are people using in the UK?

Oxford has a few gay pubs though, Bristol is the best place to go to really.

I went to reading recently and stayed overnight.. I was amazed 90% of places closed by 11pm!!!

Same as Swindon, but if you go a town just 10 miles away its quite lively lol!

I come from Oxford and there are a few good gay pubs, although it's been a while for me. There was one called the Duke of Wellington, round the back of St Aldates. You're right, bristols a great scene.

I lived next door to a gay pub in Bristol. Ah, yes...

I have to try and recall other pubs and clubs from there. It is very lively though and because of the students, they're open later than 11.

The Wyndford Arms is the only real 'Go to' gay venue in Reading. It has a nightclub upstairs, and the whole place is open until 2:30am and later some nights weekends (don't quote me though!)

The other pubs, including the LGBT friendly ones just have normal licences, so 11pm closing times.

There are a few in Oxford, just google gay oxford. With a large student population they are usually busy....

Bath used to have quite a few but they have all gone now.

Remember going to the Bath Tape with one guy, I was naive back then as I didn't realize it was a date lol!

I seem to remember there being a few more places in Oxford, but having just googled it, there are slim pickings. There's the Castle Tavern pub and the Plush Lounge, neither of which i've been to. And it's gay night every Monday at the Old Fire Station. For a place that's full of students and young professionals, and which apparently has quite a bit of money floating around, it's rather bleak.
