That is a good unsafe speed! I have a 01 BMW 740 il sport for my daily driver and on a trip to Disneyland down highway 5 with my BF driving, I felt the car going faster and faster while I was resting my eyes and looked over at the speedometer and he was doing 145!!! Felt different going that fast but it was fun until........we saw a CHP cruiser poking out from behind a highway overpass. He just pulled over and got lucky with a $352 fine and one point on his record. The car felt like it had more in it but that was fast enough! Have not done it again. I like just cruising with all the subs working overtime in the trunk. Yes...I am that guy 3 cars behind you with the bass vibrating your rear view mirror.

All I know is shit starts passing by you pretty quick at 120+ mph. I bought me the top of the line radar detector and has been well worth it, of course you have to have common sense too... I got the Escort Redline which for a windshield mount detector supposed to have the best range and reaction time. On the highway, it kicks ass, almost always get a few miles range.

Funny you mention the subs, I usually don't peg older folks being into the bass lol. I used to be pretty big in it. I had 2 x 12"'s inside a bandpass box with a 1,000 w subwoofer that was when I had a Grand Marquis, could definitely hit hard in down in the 30 Hz range. That was back when I smoked and I would have cigarette butts vibrating and falling out of the ash tray. Oh good times lol

Hey now.....I may be old but I am not dead! I still enjoy my music.....loud. The 2 12" subs are not enough but there is no more room in the trunk. My mind still thinks it is 21 and I still want to go to a trance concert someday even though I will be the only won with grey hair (still done perfectly I might add).
