On topic, I always wanted to read comics when I was younger and never could. Just recently I got hold of a bunch of cbr/cbzs of Teen Titans, and am reading them. I think I also have some of The Punisher and The Watchmen, but haven't read any of those yet.

I used to love reading the Teen Titans comics, and the punisher but never read Watchmen only seen the film.

Well... I'll probably make some people feel old by saying this, but I didn't even know about Teen Titans until there was the TV series. I used to watch it all the time growing up, so I'm naturally used to that version, which was based on "the New Teen Titans" from the 80s--which seems to be the series you're referring to, if I'm not mistaken?

I haven't started on that one yet, but I am very eager to do so.

Yes. Your Titans are based on my Titans. I've tried watching your Titans, and was kind of offended by them. I did very much like the Young Justice cartoons though!

I can't say if you'd enjoy my Titans or not. Mine were (mostly) the junior sidekicks of the major members of the Justice League. They grew up in the Titans. They gained a fan base of their own without being in their mentor's shadows as backup. They struggled. They rebelled. They made their own name and several even took their mentor's place in the Justice League. They became a team... and a family... and my friends.

My mom seems to have the same opinion as you, lol. From what she's said of your Titans, I think there's a chance I will like them, when I get around to it. The basic concept is something I'm interested in at least, so it has a better chance than some other comics.

Your mom read comics/Titans? The George Perez era was my favorite. I also enjoyed "Infinity, Inc." , which was the then "Earth-2" version of Teen Titans with the teen side kicks/children of the Justice Society.

Yes you are right Borg69 these are the one and true Teen Titans group. I loved reading Teen Titans comics in the 80's.

Yeah, she was more into Marvel comics than DC though. She did used to have a collection of Spiderman, X-men, and Flash comics when I was younger, with some other random ones mixed in. I read a few of them, but out of context, they were confusing. I don't know what happened to them, but I haven't seen them in years.

I haven't heard of "Infinity, Inc." (My knowledge of comics is sadly limited.) I'll have to look it up and see if it interests me.

Oh, The New Teen Titans.

A lot of people don't know that there was a "TNTT" cartoon planned to start, just after The Super Friends ended, it was supposed to be based in the same universe.



"The Protector" was a character created for a "NTT" anti-drug PSA that featured the Teen Titans.

There isn't a full version of the video with audio on YouTube, but here are some "splices" of the PSA, with no audio.

As I said, "Infinity Inc." was the parallel Earth-2 version of the Teen Titans... the children of the Justice Society. The Justice Society was the original versions of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern... from the "Golden Age"... 1940's (-ish) when they first started. Then in the 60's-70's (guessing) when they modernized the heroes into the ones we know, the originals were placed on a parallel Earth, dubbed Earth 2. Back then, DC Comics had numerous parallel earths.

If you're not familiar with the original Justice Society heroes, you might not be interested in their children either. I enjoyed the Earth 2 heroes because there stuff happened that never happened with the Justice League heroes we know... Superman and Lois Lane got married, Flash married his wife, Green Lantern Married a woman who for years was a villain of his, and they had 2 kids, Wonder Woman married Steve Trevor, ... Black Canary actually originally came from Earth 2.
