On Monday, I sewed a decorative patch onto a shirt. It was the first time I sewed anything since...well, at least last century. It wasn't great work, but It did what I was supoosed to. So tonight, I decided to add a second patch on the shoulder. It's bigger and weirdly shaped, but I figured I had one under my belt, I could handle this one as well.
...hoo boy.
An hour later, I have about forty pin pricks on my fingers....two of which are bleeding. I lost two needles. At one point, I reached for a pin...and had it jab me under my fingernail. (I apologize for your withdrawn testicles.) I had to restart three times. My hand cramped up. And the last time..I somehow accidentally sewed the ELBOW of the shirt to the patch and shoulder.
So, I once more pulled all the stitches out, left the patch pinned to the shirt, put it down and took a hot bath. I'll try again this weekend.
