That's very cool! I had no idea you could make those yourself.

an android tv box, and with another installed launcher (e.g. nova) you can create your own homescreen. zooper is an app that helps you to create interactive widgets - when you touch the widget it does something (or not if you want to just to create a widget for showing info); e.g. if i want to create a tile which opens netflix when touched, it is easy to be created by zooper. and why nova? it allows you to do a flexible screen: overlapping widgets, defining rows and columns...
