LGBT holidays in China

Has any one travel to China before? my partner and I plan a trip for this Nov but do wonder is it safe enough for us to travel alone in cities like beijing and shanghai? And will people there will treat us badly? Are there any nice bars or clubs at these cities? I do find some tips like, which are shows the gay situation in China but would like to heard yours words on trip in China before we leave. thank you

The LGBT community from what ive heard is treated very bad in china . Never been there myself but have a safe trip .
