I am an alcoholic and addict too....I have been clean and sober closing in on 30 years soon.....

I went to AA and NA for about a year...I thoroughly hated it. I loved the program though and worked it diligently....still do. It saved my life. I also loved my sponsor and spent a lot of time carefully selecting him...that is important....maybe the most important part for me. We had a relationship well after I stopped attending meetings.
