OK....
Father Gabriel has got to go.....He is going to get everyone killed if they don't lose his ass now. In order to redeem himself he needs to start slaying a bunch of zombies....
There is not more time for him to grieve or clutch his crucifix...too many people can get killed because of his stupidity...
Tyreese too....he should apologize to Carol now for what he didn't have the balls to do. At some point...if you survive..you have to change in order to CONTINUE to survive. It might be his fault that Bob is dead now though the zombies did bite him so maybe not ...
Rick has stepped up to become a lot more capable a leader...I loved how he gave that Officer a chance and then shot him when he was an asshole.
I felt bad for Maggie and Daryl and of course...Beth. I never liked her until the last few weeks and now I miss her. They redeemed her nicely and she stepped into survival bad ass mode just in time....
I don't think we have seen the last of the cops.....
DAMN...now we have to wait until February.

The first several minutes where Rick chases the cop down in the car and gives him the chance to stop and then bumps him off were probably my favorite part of the whole episode. When he shot the stupid bastard I just wanted to shout, "Yes! You go Rick!". It was finally like he'd reached the point where his BS meter was full and there wasn't another drop of patience for suffering fools gladly.
I read all the gossip and expected to see one or more of the tribe bite the big one tonight. I was surprised that it was only Beth (Did you see Talking Dead? She was really a mess about leaving the show). I didn't mind exactly, except that they stuck us with Eugene and Father Gabriel, who are both as useful as a one armed trapeze artist with an itchy ass.
Another thing that pissed me off... When the trade-off happened and Dawn demanded Noah, why the hell didn't the rest of the group grow some testis and tell Noah to shut up and stay behind them? It was like the writer's got lazy. They needed to kill off Beth, and they wanted her to go out strong, I get that. But having Beth stab Dawn with those scissors the way she did was lame. If they wanted Beth to go out strong she should have stuck those scissors through Dawn's temple, or up through her jaw. THAT would have shown us Beth's strength and made the audience feel a sense of deeper loss about losing another character who finally has developed gonads.
It was moving to see Daryl cry a bit. It made the whole group reunion outside with Maggie breaking down a really effective emotional statement of loss.
And now we know (from Talking Dead) that Daryl isn't the gay character some of the gossip mill thought he might be. They've certainly managed to keep his sexuality ambiguous enough. Next season there's going to be a gay character introduced. About bloody f'ing time.
I don't know if we'll see the cops again. Maybe. It would be nice to see the plot not go backwards anymore though.
All I know is Eugene better start to be more useful than a white crayon. And if all Gabriel is going to do is look weepy and pray over every fart and piss drip they can't use him as zombie bait fast enough for my liking.

Man.. I miss Beth =[
I wasn't all that impressed with the first half of this season. It was basically just more of the same: the group moves forward, encounters some human community, there are some nasty people and in the end somebody gets killed. And, for some reason, the more organized the human community, the nastier the people leading it. Dawn's character was wonderfully ambiguous so at first I thought she would break the formula but it turns out I was wrong. I hope the next half will be a bit more than just another dangerous road trip.
And who was that guy who appeared after the credits? Were we supposed to remember him from some earlier part of the show or was he new?

I enjoyed the way Beth was shot up through her head. Great mid-season finale. I hope the priest gets his balls on in an awesome way or goes out in a huge, satisfying blaze of zombie bait.
And lastly, here's an idea. I'd like to see Carl come of age questioning his sexuality upon meeting new young blood.
Life's too short to miss an opportunity to show your love and affection!
