To me, it looks like they are doing a PTSD angle. I don't think the members in the town will want them out, but the group won't ever really trust them. The people in the town haven't seen what these people have. Sasha freaking out at the party confirms a bit of this.
Daryl on the other hand is ready to stop. The fact that he refused the pistol and when he saw the motorcycle and had some of his old life back. Then again there was that "W" carved on the walker. That is probably a more traditional walking dead style crazy, villain.

I dont' know what I think about this last week...too many possible directions they could be heading in with the characters and the story....
The interesting moments for me...Stepford Carol and baking cookies ROTFLMAO............ From this...Bad Ass Carol To this....Stepford Carol ...and the best part..Scary Cookie Lady Carol.... ...worth watching the whole episode for THAT gem.... ...and one more favorite moment...Daryl teaming up with the gay couple. It was genuinely very sweet...I loved it Oh yeah....the last few seconds in this Carol montage has Daryl telling her she can start over...LOL...I guess she was paying attention

East Wrote:...and the best part..Scary Cookie Lady Carol.... Damn, someone took the old "cake or death" comedy routine (originally from Dress to Kill) and actually made it scary!

Oooooh scary Carol.
And when the gay couple invited Daryl round , well my imagination went into overdrive.

http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2015/03...mc/372841/ via press release: AMC ANNOUNCES TWO-SEASON ORDER FOR A COMPANION SERIES TO “The Walking Dead†(TITLE TBD) New Series Will Air Day-and-Date on AMC Global NEW YORK, NY – March 9, 2015 – AMC today announced that it has placed an initial two-season order for a companion series to “The Walking Dead,†the #1 show on television among adults 18-49 for going on three seasons. The new series (title to be announced) will be set in Los Angeles and focused on new characters and storylines. The show’s first season will consist of six one-hour episodes and premiere on AMC in late summer. The show’s second season will air in 2016. Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert from “The Walking Dead†are executive producers of the new series, which, like the original, is being produced by AMC Studios. Dave Erickson (“Marco Polo,†“Sons Of Anarchyâ€Â), who co-created and co-wrote the pilot with Kirkman, is an executive producer and showrunner. The series will star Cliff Curtis (“Missing,†“Gang Relatedâ€Â), Kim Dickens (Gone Girl, “Sons Of Anarchyâ€Â), Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm). “We take incredibly seriously the notion of building a satisfying companion series to the number one show on television. From the beginning of ‘The Walking Dead’ on AMC, we’ve been asked questions about what was going on in other parts of the zombie apocalypse, and what it looked like as the world really did ‘turn.’ Through this new series, we’re going to find out,†said Charlie Collier, AMC president. “Robert Kirkman, Dave Erickson and their writing team, along with an incomparable set of producers, cast and crew have created something remarkable and clearly distinct. We respectfully follow the request of Monty Python as we bring out (the latest of) our Dead.â€Â

As a former reader of the comics, I have mixed feelings regarding where the characters are going from here. I quit reading the comic book just a little after the group arrived at the Alexanderia Safe Zone, because their arrival there marked a definate change of pace-- it went from the characters fighting desperately to survive the Zombie Apocalypse out in the "wild" to the group taking over the Safe Zone and installing Rick as leader and having to deal with the numerous groups of other people out there who have established their own communities and are basically waging war on one another. Which is the reason that I think they are introducing the new companion series-- because there are pleanty of fans, like myself, who find the most enjoyment in watching the characters try to survive "out in the wild", and by going back to the beginning of the outbreak on the other side of the country, it will provide a continuation of that kind of story-telling.
Concerning the last 3 episodes of this season, I have a few "predictions" and "intuitions" of my own: 1) Enid. In the comic book, Sophia is actually still alive (although Carol is not), and has become the adopted daughter of Glen and Maggie (and love interest of Carl), so when Enid was introduced I sort of felt like she was a new version of Sophia-- that way they could still follow the important parts of Carl's storyline. However, now, I am suspecting that Enid is actually a spy for a group outside the walls waiting to attack the Safe Zone; if that is the case, it doesn't mean that she won't still play Sophia's part in the storyline but it would make it more difficult and possibly interesting. 2) Deanna Monroe. In the comic, when we got to the ASZ we met Douglas Monroe who was a former polotician who had taken over leadership from a guy named Reginald who had built the walls around the Safe Zone. Obviously, they made "Douglas" into "Deanna" for the TV show and made Reginald (Reg) her husband. In the comic, after an attack by an outside group, Douglas decides to give over leadership of the community (which was a bit bigger in the comic--about 44 people if I remeber correctly) to Rick. It could go differently on the tv show, but it could go exactly the same too.... 3) Father Gabriel. In the comics, Father Gabriel falls right into the community at the ASZ and remains alive and in a kind of leadership position (of a religious nature). However, there seem to be some pretty major differences btw the TV version of the priest and the comic version. If you look at the description in the TV Guide for next week's episode, it says that someone isn't who they seem to be. I have read a number of theories that say this refers to Enid, and it very well may mean her, which would go hand in hand with the theory that she is a spy......but for some reason, I think that next episode it will be Father Gabriel who suprised us by turning out to be or to know more than he has been letting on (like I said, that is just my opinion based on a "gut-feeling"). We will just have to wait and see on this one. I have a number of other "gut-feelings" about what may happen by the end of this season, but I think I will keep them to myself, at least until after next week's episode... Good Luck Scavenging! Watch Out for The Wolves! ~Beaux

Ooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Beaux! I LOVE speculation! I also love spoilers BUT The Walking Dead is so fucking tightlipped...they work all of the spoiler lovers bigtime....they do, however, bend you over.....I love it when they don't use lube...you get used to spit real quick LOL
I go to TWD spoiler sites but none of them really ever turn out the way everyone predicts.....so I love the speculation..... My guess...SOMEONE has got to die that we care about in the next few weeks...and I am thinking Glen or Sasha might be on the chopping block.... I just don't want it to be Daryl or Carol....I hope to fuck they don't kill either one of them. Both are irreplaceable at this point IMO. Good insight on the girl...I heard about the humans that walk with the dead and wear the masks...the sounds chilling ...don't know if they are actually gonna appear on the show or if they are just comic book characters....

This is one of the few shows that I watch each week. Give that there are only 3 more episodes left this season, I'm wondering if they'll be more deaths soon.
Since we've met so many people from ASZ, it could be any of them, and that could allow the main characters to be safe now.

I'm not gonna say anything about the episode tonight, not sure who hasn't seen it yet, and don't want to spoil anything, but damn!!! Great episode.
Oh, and the priest needs to die. |
