Because I loved this album so much, my parents got me a CD where a garden variety tenor sang Cole Porter songs and it was one of the lamest albums I ever got. The different approaches of the different artist to the Cole Porter songs is what made RH&B so fascinating.

I agree...I LOVE the different flavor each artist brought to the table and the diffferent interpretation of these classics was brilliant.
That brings me to Tom Waits... I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song on the CD but I didn't think it was better than the original...but so very original in it's own right......
I would grab the microphone and "perform" this song behind the bar sometimes...I can imitate him well....
I will post it anyway...just so I can come back and "visit" it again....
